The experienced and nurturing staff at OutBaby NYC is available to assist you in countless ways. As new parents you can determine what level of involvement you prefer or require, whether it be occasional consultations or a hands-on guide through every step of the process, you choose, we provide.

We are aware that there are many intimate and personal experiences involved in having a child; some things you will happily take care of yourself. We also recognize that some things don’t have to cloud your day or interfere with your quality time so turn over some of that responsibility to us, which we accept graciously and with care.

Baby Planning Basics

Adoption, Surrogacy and Foster Parenting each require research, paperwork, licensing and certification, depending on the route you choose. The processes may be partially similar but they are also each unique, involving separate agencies, rules and people with whom to work. The staff of OutBaby NYC can:

Conduct Research on agencies in your community
Put you in contact with a network of other gay and lesbian parents near you
Provide a list of contacts, from other foster parents to adoption attorneys, donors, medical professionals, all experienced in working with gay and lesbian potential parents
Help you crate your adoptive parent profile
Arrange training to become a licensed foster parent
Set up and conduct surrogacy or adoption interviews

Utilize the expansive network of medical connections to secure the best physician, pediatrician and medical specialists
Pre-natal services and birth preparation classes
CPR classes — Our staff will arrange for CPR classes for you, your family and caregiver
Childproof your home — Our specialists know all the nooks and crannies that need to be proofed

Baby Has Arrived

Baby Registry — We handle the research to help you select the right stroller, high chair, crib, car seat, everything you’ll need, then we will handle the registry for you
Baby Furniture — Based on your space, needs, and budget we will find the furniture best suited to grow with your child
Infant Nurse or Nanny — Conduct pre-screening to find the best Baby Nurse and/or Nanny so you can conduct interviews after we have carefully screened the candidates
Outfit your nursery
Birth Announcements and thank you cards — We will provide custom designs as well as handle addressing and mailing
Environmentally friendly baby — We know and will provide detergent and household cleaning products that will be safe for your, your new baby, pets and the entire family
Naming/Bris/Baptism/Chistening — Our staff handles all the event planning for these important occasions

Physician Referral to suit specific parent and child needs
Photography/Video — We assist you in documenting every step of the process
Infant mommy and me/daddy and me — We find classes suited to you, your needs and your schedule
Pre-school — We do the legwork to help you choose the best pre-school, private or public, for your child
Kindergarten/Elementary — We provide guidance and information about school districts and education systems in your community and neighborhood through high school
Dentist – Our experts utilize a network of medical professionals to find you the best pediatric dentist
Birthday parties — From planning to producing the best birthday party, we handle all the details

Babysitting and Nanny Services

Outbaby has an extensive network to help you find a nanny or babysitter. We can help you find the best caregiver when you can’t be there, in an emergency, or for those unexpected moments. Mininum 24 hour notice required.
